Daniel Student wears many different hats, a “quadruple threat” writer, director, actor, and producer, and sometimes even editing and casting. He recently co-produced and directed the short film, More Happy, which screened at the PHW Filmmakers' Series in 2017. Additionally, he directed the 2017 theatrical production, YOU, which charged a nation-wide record of $5000 per ticket to a nightly audience of just one person, and was given feature coverage in Newsweek and LA Weekly.
As an actor, he has starred in over twenty films and won the NYC Indie Film Best Actor Diamond Award for playing the title role of an autistic adult trying to transition to independence in Eli.
As a writer, he has had two plays receive premiere productions, penned and performed a comedic storytelling show in the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has had over a million readers for a single article as an online sports journalist. He also created the popular comic book based sketch comedy show Superheroes Who Are Super!, which won "Best In Philly" from Philadelphia Magazine, and toured to New York, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.
He worked in the professional theater in Philadelphia for ten years, where he directed over 30 productions, and was lauded for "rapidly proving himself a young director of range and vision" by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
